Information screen reset.

Freelander 2, 2006 model.

Since a battery change my information screen only shows the temperature and the screen doesn't change when I press the button. I also have a high pitch beep for about 10 seconds when starting the engine. I feel there should be a simple reset but have no idea how. Any suggestions? ​

When the battery was connected, was
A: everything off in the vehicle?
B: did the last battery terminal connected (should be the negative) spark on connection?
Either of these will cause corruption of the software in various modules.
To cure it, try disconnecting the battery again for 10 minutes, then connect it again without sparking the connection, by slapping the terminal on quickly.
