Looks like someone wants to build the new Defender that Land Rover just can't be arsed to!

Looking good so far.

They might just be making a really decent 4x4 with proper overland potential.
Once they have ironed out the faults and decent used ones start to appear, I could even consider one.

It's ten times more 'Defender' than the new Defender is!

Jim Ratcliffe, the guy behind Ineos tried to get Land Rover's permission to continue the old Defender's production under licence, but they told him bollox!

I agree, it does look better than the new defender and I hope it does well for them. Its just the grill and slope of the bonnet is a little familiar for someone who doesn't like the G Wagen

I wouldn't have thought so.
It takes decades of R & D and experience to get the gap vs seal ratio just right. (I mean wrong)
That's not something a new company would be able to get right, straight out of the box...

My '97 Nokia was pretty good but my modern S10 is a lot more useful....

Apparently the Ineos is a wrangler chassis with a few mods.

I have heard both £35 and £45K as starting prices. Until they go to design freeze and can fully contract supply chains, manufacturing and distribution methods etc, I doubt that they know yet.
