indicator relay - pattern parts

Is the freelander one really sensitive to aftermarket indicator relays by any chance?

The relay went on the wifes 1999 3 dr and so i ordered a pattern one off the tinterweb (im not back in hereford with her so its all been done over the phone and from what she says etc)

Anyway the indicators and hazards now work again, but she says the relay is constantly "ticking". The indicators arent going flashing with it or owt.

Im presuming slightly duff unit? Or some other problem that has arisen and im being a spack.

all sorted, i had a look when i got to hereford and the unit we i had bought had 4 pins, the original only has 3.

snapped the uneeded pin off and its all fixed

oh it made the 600 mile journey to the highlands at the weekend too at 40 mpg!!!!
