P38A Indicator cancelling

hi all,

Can anyone tell me at what point the indicators normally cancel? Ours cancel at odd positions of the steering wheel (not straight ahead) but having stripped it all down and looked at the pins which interact with the indicator switch to do the cancelling this seems entirely predictable. Do we somehow have the wrong cancelling ring on the steering wheel perhaps?

when sat still mine cancels at around ten o'clock and 2. On the road however... It cancels some of the time but mostly by hand.. It's a case of not today but then maybe sometimes! Like sex with my better half. Hit and miss

Mine don't cancel at all - doesn't bother me, I do it manually.

Defender I will add !

Ours seems from the cancelling ring that it should cancel around ten and maybe four ish, in reality you've normally done it manually before it does. For a car as high quality and expensive as the RR this doesn't seem like it's how it should be though! Infact, even in a defender I think I would expect it. At least we're not alone in having issues though.

my old S2A, with it's little wheel on the stalk never worked before and after a gentle restoration!

Not noticed anything odd on mine. Seems to cancel about the same going left or right and always works. Will keep an eye on it now you've mentioned it and report back if untoward!
