In the sh!t!!!

I'm putting out a call of desperation to all you lovely Landyzoners. I'm in a predicament. It's been nearly a month and I am no nearer. I need to get my gearbox replaced and was wondering if anyone knew of anyone that would be able to recover or tow my vehicle and do the work in or around the Colchester area, any ideas, pointers or help will be greatly appreciated.

try this guy he rebuilt my td5 engine when i sunk at bures.
he knew what he was doing and kept to his quote.

Two options - RST landrovers in Mersea, or an independant chap(who is a lot cheaper) i know who does a lot of landy work. PM me and i'll send you his number (based in Maldon)

Hi sorry for hi jacking the thread but how much if you dont mind me asking did he charge to re build the engine and what did he replace?

i really cant remember the price it was a year or so ago.
but i do remember it was painfull.
he stripped the engine and replaced all the con rods and all bolts, apparently
there is a kit and you have to replace loads of bits not just the damaged ones
he also emptied the mud from the turbo and ecu and every where else inside the engine. strangely he did not wash and polish for me.

where is it? i'm sure between up we could sort something out! my landy is in lots of pieces at the moment or i would come do it myself

And which model LR is it + which gearbox???

It's the one in my picture. C reg 90 with a 96 300 TDi conversion, R380 box. In Colchester.
