wife got this one - much to my disgust it just hangs over the gear stick... kids still just use the door bins, floor, in the door handles, down by the seat belts....

Tell the kids you lost a few quids worth of small change in the car and if they empty all the rubbish they can keep the money. Worked for me for years.
