Sorry if this is obvious, or has been done to death, I've had a look about but not seen anything that gives me confidence in how to approach safely getting more room under my TD5 so I can clean and wax oil the chassis/underside.

I have a pair of 3 ton axle stands, and the pot jack that came with the vehicle. So what's my best option for getting more room when doing this work on my driveway?

Any photos with where to place the jack/stands etc would be highly appreciated.

Again sorry if this is old news for most of you but I'm a complete novice.

Get yourself a 3 tonne trolley jack. Machine Mart £100. Costco are doing a good one the now for £77 if you have one near you. If you are going to have a Disco, your going to need a decent jack. You can jack either end and put your stands on the axle or chassis. Or better, get another set of stands and raise the lot in a oner. Other option is a set of ramps.
