Immobilizer bypass or repair ?

Hi all! I have on my Freelander 1.8 petrol '99 the immobilizer that have some problem ; If i turn off the car, the immo goes on itself and everytime i need to restart (i am into the car), i need to push everytime the button on the remote to deactivate immo. I'm bored to do this every time...:dizzy: i dont' think it's normal. So... there is a way to check/disable/set the immo so i never must do this or i must die every time i turn off the car?? Thats normal, you turn off the engine and after something like a minute the immobiliser comes on automatically, even if the doors are not locked, you then need to press the fob button to deactivate it.

You can over ride the immobiliser using the EKA code (emergency key access) if you have it but this would likely invalidate your insurance if left like that.

disabling the immobilser definitely invalidates your insurance, unless they have agreed it (probably best to get it in writing)

Only if it gets nicked and recovered in one piece though, if you have a shunt it shouldn't matter or someone twoc's and torches it they'd never know in theory.
