I'm in the RAC through my bank so I'll try them tomorrow. It was Greenflag who came out to it on Monday. Thanks for your help.

Pleasure:) I was an RAC patrol for a couple of years so I know what they can do. And I think that's something they should be able to at least diagnose for you if not fix. Fingers crossed. W

Check your FOB battery .
My wife's FL1 just did the same this morning . I got the spare key and FOB and after disconnecting the battery waiting 5 minutes and then reconnecting and using the second FOB and key the car started and ran fine . The first FOB is not locking the car , new battery required.

Yippee yippee it's fixed. It was a loose connection to the starting motor. AA guy fixed it in minutes. Thank you for all your advice . Very much appreciated . Anne !

Not to gloat.......but I did tell you at the start of your other thread that it was either the battery or starter motor!:p

I'm so pleased I could have kissed the AA guy, just looked at his note and he's replaced the connection . What a star !

spot on :p
Good to hear!

Possibly even just cleaned it up and away you went.
Always nice - a cheap fix like that (and increasingly rare on freelanders!).

Welcome to the forum.

You should start a new thread with your problems. What colour is it? What year/engine/gearbox? Have you had the error codes read and if so did they find any? What have you done so far? A small introducton will help too.

Wiggle / push in the thin wire and its contact on the back of the starter motor - then try it. -

Edited - whoops already answered
