After almost 4 years and 20000 milesI 've come up against my first real problem.

The other day in the car park at Lands End my front passenger opened their door. Once outside they tried to close it. It wouldn't close. Something in the latch area was preventing it closing. I cycled through the lock/unlock using the fob. The door then closed as normal.

Now, the front passenger door won't open from the inside or outside. The vehicle locks itself. To open any sort of door I have to unlock on the fob and open the door before the latches go back down on their own.

The front passenger door handle feels less positive than normal. Has the cable come off /out of something. It is still connected at the handle.

How hard is it to remove the door card with the door shut?

It won't accept the EKA because the the latches come straight back down.

The indicators flash as though the alarm has been triggered.

Is their a way of doing a hard reset of the immobiliser? EKA?

Apart from this problem it runs and drives fine. All other doors and the tailgate open if your quick enough with the fob pull/press combination.

Any ideas?

If you unlock but do not open a door within a certain time the car will lock it self. It is a feature. Obviously something has cocked up on your passenger door latch. Card can be removed with care.

Sill/Cill locking can be triggered from either front door.
Your passenger door contacts are duff or the hard-link is maladjusted.

If you manually pull the interior button up can you open the door? If not it could be super locked.

No so maybe but the other doors open from the inside so not super locked.

The only fault on the Nanocom is an immobiliser fault.

Just because all other doors open from inside does not mean that the passenger door is not super locked. Latch or power supply to it may have failed in super locked state. Had it with one of lads L322s a while ago. Also check the plug connections behind the trim panel at base of A post.
