I'm going to have to walk to halfords :puke: for some glow plugs as it's my only option.

But I haven't got a clue what to get as their website aint the clearest in its selections.

Can anyone tell me from the 3 page list here --> Halfords which ones I need.

Can't believe this!

Hi, you probably already know this but if it's cold floor the accellarator as you crank the engine releasing it as soon as it fires.. I thought I had probs till I read the manual.. starts good as gold now

I never knew that...its amazing what you can learn by reading the manual, I'll see if makes any difference on mine.

I had a go at cleaning up the chassis earth points today. They are not exactly easy to get at are they? In the end I only did the one by the radiator, the nut and bolt were pretty rusted and the nut wouldn't come all the way off. I was hoping the bolt would shear, but it didn't. In the end a combination of a hammer and chisel and a junior hacksaw got it apart. I 'll attempt the other one next weekend. It looks like a right bugger to get at, mines an auto, so the oil cooler pipes go past it quite close...
And if still doesn't like starting after that I'll have to get the starter motor off and see what sort of state that is in. I have heard of people having major improvements in cranking speed when they have fitted a new starter motor...and I guess I really ought to get Halfords or someone to do a drop test on the battery...I can check the voltage, that is OK, but I don't know if it is capable of chucking out the amps needed for starting
