Anybody know of a way to get in to a discovery as the keys have been locked inside because of dodgy door handle mechanisms. I have been told to use a coat hanger and poke it through the door seal on top of the drivers door and hook it on to the door lock inside, but i am afraid that the alarm might go off and i will end up upsetting the neighbors. Any advice would be gladly appreciated.

don't know if it's true but without giving theiving toe rags instructions on how to break in i did hear a rumour about being able to get in by removing a certain landrover badge at the back of the car and using a long nose pliers to operate the rod that opens that door ?

if the alarm goes off then you will be able to grab the keys and turn it off pretty sharpish anyway.. neighbours who are annoyed by it need to remember we all make mistakes and next time it could be them...

on the other hand I find a spare key's the best way of opening a car with the keys locked inside.. .

no spare keys, AA?

no AA?

the alarms' gonna go off whatever you do....

Have you got any breakdown cover? That'd be your best bet.

They are easy to get into as long as you know what you are doing. They can also be got into WITHOUT setting off your alarm.;):D:D:D

Is the car in Warminster at the moment?

If you get stuck pm me your mobile number and I'll talk you through it.

Cheers for everyones replys, the wife has now got into her Disco and been sent to get a spare set of keys cut.

Im feeling guilty now as I have known about the dodgy c/l motor and decided to galivant to Nepal without doing it.(And Im still out there).
