Hi Guys! Don't really have false Boobs.....it's just you all look when they're in a thread...:D

Here goes...
New air compressor 5 years ago
All air springs have been replaced in the last 5 years.
Got in to start in a few weeks ago and heard a clicking from under the bonnet? can't remember hearing this before.
Air suspension has been hit and miss as to if it gets to standard ride height. Taking for ever and sometimes not getting there.
Pumped up yesterday so i left it over night with the tail gate open to see if the bags etc are leeking. NO! got in this morning and it was still at standard ride height.
Had a EAS fault code of F840 RR incorrect but, the bump stop is worn and i think that it just went below and out of range for the sensor?? This was read when the whole thing was on its bumps
No other EAS faults what so ever
so.....Compressor??? but i can still here it running and supplying the air suspension....
Or Relay thingy that opens to let the air out...can they get stuck open???

Help please??

The fact that it is running does not mean it is pumping any air. Carry out the test procedure i have outlined in many previous posts.

It may be be running but not pumping, so change compressor innards, but before you do that check integrity of pipework and pressure tank by connecting an air line to the pipework between the compressor and the valve block. If you have a leak then you will hear the air coming out of the broken piece of pipe. (My problem was a blast hole caused by overheating from an exhaust leak.) Or you can test the pipes and conections with soapy water when you have some air in the system. By the way the clicking is the system cycling a valve, trying to correct a fault with the levels.

My air bags are not as big as the range rovers....keep to the subject, i know it's diffcult but i may get the Boobs out if some one can help me fix my range rover!!!:hysterically_laughi

Depends where the air is leaking from, maybe you should stay off the horse and eat fewer beans and lentiles and see if that cures the problem:mooning:

If i stay off the horse i'll find something else to ride!!

You are after poor BBS Guy again:eek: but that won't cure your leak. Seriously either your compressor has given up or there is a leak. Spray a mix of washing up liquid and water on the airbags and all joints if you can get some air into it and look for bubbles. If you can't get any air into it check the compressor as already stated. Of course it could be the valve block:eek:

Ok once more into the breach. No need to get the boobs out her indoors would not like it. I would she would not. She does not read my PMs though:D.

With compressor running remove inlet filter, put your finger over it. There should be suction. If not strip pump and look why not. If there is. Remove blue pipe from outlet, with pump running put your finger over it with moderate pressure. Air should be forced past your finger. If not strip pump you have a pump internal problem. If air is forced past finger, replace blue pipe, and remove exhaust filter, put your finger over that if there is any air coming out, the diaphragm is split or not sealing for some reason. If there is good pressure at outlet from pump (finger blown off) and no air coming from exhaust port the tank should fill. If it does not you have a leak between pump and tank or from tank to valve block. Lots of soapy water will find that. Without being stood next to you holding your hand and seeing car myself can't help you a lot more than that i am afraid. Looking forwards to the PM now.:cool::cool::cool:

Thanks Wammers i'll try using my finger! always does the trick;)
i did try looking back through your posts for the test but couldn't find it.

i'll let you know! thanks guys.

i'll try and find some pic's of my air bags for you:p

well then see my other thread! positions open for next year

hey you're one post from senior member. whoop whoo!
