I'm Concerned...

The bastards should've done all four. Is it still in warranty?

Why should they have replaced them all?

my warranty ends this week, but theyve booked me in for next week to look at a gearbox oil leak already. It's actualy the engine oil thats run down and then dripping off the gear box!

S'pose if you run a garage that has to make a profit then you might not replace them all, speshly if it was just a broken ring or summat and didn't need a re-bore, and if they thought nowt else was likely to go wrong within the warranty period. But if it was me doing the job on my vehicle then I'd have done all four without any question, If ones knackered then the rest won't be far behind.

As far as the oil leak is concerned you need to know where it's coming from. If it's the rocker cover gasket then it's a piece of **** an they'll probably put a new un in. If its the crankshaft seal then they'll probly pressure wash the engine, blather silicone sealant round the clutch housing and deny all knowledge next week when the warranties run out.

yer injun's suposed to run smooth and evenly.. by re-boring one cylinder they have upped the swept volume of that cylinder and dropped the compression ratio so it will not run the same , nor produce the same power as the others. so it will run unevenly.
ave no idea how much this will affect it as its the furst time i've heard of any one just doing one cylinder.

it like yer brakes if you have one dodgy side you always do the other to keep things even, whether them both fooked or not.
