Sorry this is probably something that has been asked before. Battery is good but when I turn on the ignition it just goes click. Is this starter motor ir solenoid?

Bad battery connection, either side.
Bad connection to starter
Bad earth from engine to body

short the terminals on the solenoid with a screwdriver if it doesnt work and the starter notor still just clicks its the starter frooked not the solenoid

you lucky sod its the cheaper thing gone wrong

if it were my landy you can be damn sure itll be the starter gone costin a fortune :rolleyes:

Erm, hang on. If you short the 2 big terminals on the solenoid the starter should turn shouldn't it? Because you have bypassed the solenoid.
That's how I used to start my guzzi when the solenoid went (also how I melted the key but I digress).
If it doesn't turn after shorting then it's voltage or the motor. Unless I dreamt it.

what he sez ^^
edit.
give the starter a wallop the the crankin handle or hammer. might just be stuck brushes.

Fantastic!

Not your starter but it means I got something right. Had to happen one day.
:cheer2:
Hooray for me!

turn the square on the end of the starter, it may just be stuck on the flywheel, happens when the ring gear is worn
