any ideas if this is a standard disco prop there both red front n rear

do you know if the output flange on the transfer box can be tightend?Don't remember mine having that bit at the front on it?? they look extended but I suppose you'd need to measure em to be sure..
do you know if the output flange on the transfer box can be tightend?
there seems to be a bit of play there someone mentioned there is a large centre nut on the flange that could possibly be tightend up?
yes the piece at the right towards the transfer box does seem to be some sort of rubber cap that needs to be moved inwardslooks like the plastic cap has been removed and the splines pulled out.
its been pulled apart at splines and rubber seal pushed back on wrong way round,
ok then nxt stoopid qs if i pull apart the plines and refit rubber flange thingy do the splines have to line back up exactly the same way as it came out or dont it matter?reverse the rubber keeps **** out of the spline hole
what probs will ocur if there not alligned correctly?the two inner yokes at each end must be in line with each other ,will run without but in line is how they should be at rear front one the one in picture should be 1-2 splines out of line ,
vibration and quicker UJ wear.
there is slight vibration on overrun but not bad i put it down to the transfer box output flange play?shorter uj life and vibration especially under power or overrun
