Ran this post in the Series section so apologies if you've seen it before.

I'm having trouble identifying which type of exhaust manifold I need to replace my cracked one? It's off a 19886 110 defender 2.5 petrol. 4 piece exhaust.

It looks like a Landrover 2.5 Petrol Exhaust Manifold 90 110 130 Part No ERC 9071

Does it have a conical bore or a parallel bore ?

ETC5330 has "parallel sided bores"

ERC9071 has "conical bores"

Nothing on the underside Speckydude. On the topside left there is the Leyland logo with HR1230 and the topside right RMIS

Seems my options are:
ETC5330 2.5L PETROL PARALLEL SIDED BORE MANIFOLD.
ERC9071 2.5L 4 CYL L/R PETROL CONICAL END DOWN BORE MANIFOLD

I dont exactly know the difference. If it refers to the bore hole that joins the exhaust, it is tapered to accept the exhaust coupler. other than that I dont see any parallel sides anywhere the casting is pretty poor :)

It has a welded olive with a coupler to accept the 3 studs from the manifold as per the 4th picture. That would make it a conical bore manifold right

That's my understanding of it. I have the welded olive on a 2.5 N/A, but I haven't ever had a look at the exhaust mating point on my manifold, despite removing it several times. I wonder if you took a wire brush to the old one, would a part number appear?

cheers zeaphod. My VIN is 25. Im just gonna order the Connical and hope its the right one. BTW what parts book do you have?
