identify engine please?

hi guys,looking to buy a defender in the next few weeks,just would like somebody to verify that this engine is a 200tdi please?the only reason im asking is its an f reg 1989 and i didnt think the 200tdi was used untill 1990

Looks like a discovery 200tdi, retro fitted to me. But looks like they have done a good job from what I can see in one pic.

It's a disco enjin the defender unit has the turbo on top.

Yup its a diaco lump transplant the intake is low down from the looks of the sir filter inlet hose and its very close to the bulkhead as in all 200's.

identify engine please?
