Gents - I am looking for some assistance from folks who have experience with the classic Range Rovers. The shocks and springs on my 92 V8 classic are of considerable age and it is time for to me to invest in a new set of springs and shocks coupled with the complete suspension bushings and ball joints kit. I have been reading a lot on the brand options to lift the truck 1.5 - 2 inches to accommodate 265 75 16 or 275 75 16 size tires, but seeking some guidance as not 100% sure which brand option would provide the best on road manners coupled with the overall cost outlay on this project.

Here in the US, the only brand being recommended is Old Man Emu, and I am interested in learning more about the options in the UK as I plan to order my parts from a British distributor.

Curious to hear of recommendations from fellow forum members. Please also advise if the doing the lift would warrant use of a) correction radius arms, b) double cardon front driveshaft and finally if this project would also require me to swap out the wheels to fit the larger tires. The current wheels are OEM Land Rover Part# ANR 1689 7J X 16 X 33.

Many thanks in advance for your help with this.

Thanks for your response. I am specifically looking for options to order from the UK. Parts are super expensive here in the US and had a peek at the sites in AU and not any better. As I am doing a full restoration, will be placing a large order from a vendor in the UK.

Old man Emu is an Australian company and are made to suit the outback condtions here .Other australian commpanies that make lift kit s are ARB and TJM you might be able to order them from the companies direct if you go to their web sites,

Yeh, but you've got to ask yourself, "do I really want to pay the big prices these brand names are asking for stuff made in China", which is where a lot of these well established brand name stuff is coming from now days, nearly nothing in this line is made in Australia these days, or if it is that's news to me.

Old man emu are sublime and strong. You get what you pay for and there aren't many cheaper alternatives that will come close in terms of road handling. Medium rate are perfect stiffness, even for towing heavy loads.
Unless you also do a body lift, the max size tyres will be 245/75 x16 with a +40mm lift.
Castor correction radius arms or offset radius arm bushes are a must to prevent wandering steering + extended brake flexi hoses.
