iCarsoft LR II for LandRover/Jaguar

Good morning! I want to buy the tester iCarsoft LR II for LandRover/Jaguar. What do you think (not marketing)?

Hi. I have recently bought one to diagnose and fix abs and srs faults on discovery 2.
Happy with it. It did the job.

It's OK for the money, I use the I930, which doesn't do much less. It is a basic multi ECU reader. The Hawkeye will do more I think.

I looked at iCarsoft Multi-system Scanner i930 discussions but it seems that the opinions are divided (I have freelander 1) ... that's why I asked for real information about iCarsoft LR II (at least I understand that this version is an update at 1930). .... Hawkeye will do more, but the price is up!

Does the i930 access the auto box on pre 2004 vehicles in fact are pre 2004 vehicles restricted in anyway as regards to the ecus that can be accessed.

I presume a LR 2 would be fully Odb compliant so should have access to all ecus in'th vehicle.?

The one annoyance with the I930 is it doesn't communicate with the TCM. I've tried it on 5 or 6 different FL1s from all ages, which counts out my SE. I don't know if it's a software error or a coms problem. I can't see it being a down data line in all the cars I've tried it on, so a suspect it's a software issue.

Is there the option in the freelander 1 menu to select the TCM? Does icarsoft state it should connect?

will it code new fobs?

I can only give information on the I930 that I've tested on pre and post 2004 FL1s.
It doesn't connect to the TCM at all. It just shows on screen that the TCM didn't respond, so timed out. It connects most other modules, including my facelift Ipack. Although there's no software in the I930 to do anything with the facelift Ipack, it does light all the lights and momentarily index the dials when it connects.
Engine EDC connects perfectly
ABS connects perfectly.
SRS connects perfectly.
It doesn't see the CCU or have a menu for it, so it can't program fobs.
It doesn't see the immobilizer ECU, so can't program keys.
So as a device to investigate warning lights for MOTs it's fine. For more complex stuff, the Hawkeye is the best bet.

I believe ODB or ODB2 only pertain to the engine. It doesn't specify anything for other systems such as ABS and other safety/transmission/chassis modules.

... good, I understand that iCarsoft LR II is okay ?!
