Never tried that the trouble with me is when decanted I can't stop drinking it but it gives you a skull ache the next day . At yours do thay do the red wine and burnt toast in what looks like a Toby jug

I have 2 D1s that I love but are not roadworthy in one case or insured and MOTd in the other cos of LPG certification issues. I should have got at least one of the other two sorted out ages ago, but life, new kitchen etc got in the way. Plus, it does run and does keep passing MOTs but with constant work. The one in Kevs pics looks in great condition. Despite the colour. I'd be tempted to buy it and put a 300 tdi in it! Shame it is yet another auto.

I would say get a manual d3 but the gearing is better on the autos think I'm correct with that.

So it's OK to spray terminals etc, i.e. with plug halves separated then put them together? This is what I am most worried about. Maybe it is conductive, most are I unnerstand.

Maye have to "conduct" a litckle hexperiment!

I used to have to do "Taylor's crusted" on the fly, we had a special wooden frame and a special double threaded corkscrew to keep the deposit in place.
'83, I was all of 28 then!

I may already have told the story. But Avery's family of wine merchants came to eat at our restaurant one night, bringing their own bots, of course!
The cheese course they asked me to open a bot of port, it was a light colour, sort of golden, and had just a simple sticky label on it, more like a jam label. They asked me to pour one for myself and the restaurant manager. (They were the last customers). They sipped it, we sipped it, it was lovely and very light. They asked us what we thought of it. I was too young then to really know but Carlo said it was really nice, (he had been trained at the Savoy years before). They said "Guess how old it is!" We had no idea. Then they dropped the bomb, "It is it's 100th birthday today!".
Cool moment.
We looked at each other when we realised we had each drunk a glass worth at least a week's wages! The family laughed loud at the looks on our faces!
Great memories of working there.
Down a bit on the first page. They knock Harvey's into a cocked hat. We got all our wine through them, hence their choice to eat there!

Was a lot smaller when I was there! Just the centre Strawberry Gothic bit!

Best check the specific product for conductivity. A lot aren't.
On the other hand, if you have a good contact area and the spray prevents oxidation...
