G'day all.
Started Disco today after a few days of not.
Blasted ACE light came on again. Language ensued.
Drove to Ringwood, parked up. Did the biz then started it up again, ACE light now off!
Drove to various places, left engine running, then home. Stopped on drive, restarted it, drove and parked up. Light stayed off.
The code has been "Main Relay fails on test" despite me changing the flipping thing and proving it works.
We, W and me, are now sort of leaning towards the idea of it simply being a connection getting damp as we know that the underbonnet fusebox is prone to suffering bad connections. So I think the day of the MOT I'll be out there with a hairdryer before we go!
Meanwhile a new or secondhand one will be sourced.

THIS is why I don't like D2s!
Flipping ACE is a pointless exercise anyway TMWOT!
Enjoy the rest of the day, I might do a bit of mild thinking about plumbing in the utility room.

Silicon spray 👍
Thanks!
I have never used it but am willing to try anything! (Always cautious about using anyhting containing silicon near a car in view of the effects is has when trying to respray paint.
So I had a look at this
It talks about being a lubricant and leaving a waterproof coat.
So would you advocate drying the blessed thing like mad, then spraying it on?
And do you spray it all THEN make the connections or make all the connections then spray it as best you can with them all on and in the way?

May have a glass off this later with some stilton
Thanks!
