Me pants and t shirts are drying on the clothes line. Eye has sprayed all the weeds in me drive wiv weed killer. Also pulled oot as much ivy as eye could find from the front garden. Climbed into me plants and bushes to trace it back to its roots. Pulled oot lengths 6 foot long. Eye will be back at the start of every month to pull oft new growth. Eye hate ivy.

When you get the new fresh growth why not spray them with your weed killer so it kills the roots

I will try it but i have sprayed me ivy many times and it seems unkillerble. Now eye likes plants, trees and shrubs but ivy is creapy. Its like pulling cable oot of tarmac. It gave me a good work oot. I was going ferra nap but forced meself to sort the front garden. Too often eye put fings oft. Eye is trying to fight me inner self.

Sowed salad cut and come.primo cabbage. Leeks.rhubarb chard.parsnip white gem.mulched every where .yellow chilly peppers just starting to poke through

I know how you feel as you get older it's harder to get motivated but I always have in my mind what me dad used to say .1 years weed 10 years seed. So don't fight yourself fight the ivy more productive

We have trees at wuk with ivy strangling them like that. Some of them have died. We fink its the ivy causing the death.

It will eventually but it is a haven for wild life and is green in the depth of winter so I don't mind losing a few trees to it
