The programme is a free one called "Audiograbber" very easy to use.
If you cannot find it, send me a USB stick and I will write it to the stick for you.
I think it uses the "LAME" encoder which is pretty good, and I cannot remember whether it can be told to use other "lossless" encoders like FLAC; but I will check.
PM me if you need anything.
(.....I got lost after "LAME":rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:)
so nice to have peeps on here who unnerstand all this stuff!:):):)

Ok, when "ripping the tracks from CD's they are in a format called CDA and the program uses a "convertor" to change them to MP3 (or other format).
LAME is one such convertor, and FLAC is another. LAME allows more "losses" in the audio spectrum when converting, whereas FLAC is almost "Loss-less" in its conversion.
I hope this is clearer?
Wow!, I DID unnerstand that.:):):)
So if I ever did it FLAC is the one I'd want!
Wonder what the one is that came with my old MP3? would have to dig it out to see. Lord knows where it is!
I learn so much on this forum.
:):):):)

Just had steak n chips peppercorn sauce n a couple of sassages :D
Busted water pipe now fixed just the floor repairs to do.
Looks like a mouse has chewed through the plastic pipe little git.
I started off to say I was a bit surprised at the mouse chewin plastic pipe but then, actually, having seen what other stuff they decide to chew sometimes, I'm not really.
But what a sod.:mad::mad::mad:
So have you replaced all with copper, or what?;)
Like to see the little fecker chew through that!

Sadly not :( the wall is 2 foot thick..& the way they have routed it through is around 22 degree curve
hole from the living room plus I cant get to the other side(inlet) as the floor is tiled as you know. I have
replaced the pipe but have an isolating valve inline. I will cover the pipe in grease as vermin dont like
it. Ive got some nice sticky water proof stuff makes a right mess :D

They come with a free tile cutter I could do wiv a working holiday in the sun :D
Can't remember if you said all your tiles were the same, i.e. matched. Ours do, and now we have had the house 13 years some of them have started to show signs of cracking,:mad::mad:
Usually in a doorway. Just the glaze and very nearly invisible. But you should see how so called "professionals" lay them here. Dab, dab, dab, dab, and if you are lucky, dab. We never saw them doing much as they did it when we were in blighty. We have a few spares, but of course right under them is the under-floor heating elements. So I am very chary of even trying to hack the worst one out. Think we are going to have to live with them.

Tis hard to describe them.. light pinky greyish better wiv a pic. No need to hack them out
use a wall paper stripper & they will come out. ;)

Today was rainy, then sunny, so got under the D2 and finished off what I needed to do, so just got to put the engine cover back on to hide the EGR delete, test the brake lights and then I can book an MOT.
If it fails on the ATF leak then it fails and I will be ffed off but not surprised. It has deffo got worse.
Wish to God I had a big garage with a smooth concrete floor, and a mate to help me get the box off and get the seal(s) sorted and the bolts done up tight. such as shame as the box works fine.
I have mates, obvs, but with Covid I can't expect them to help, so I am not asking.:(
And I'd only trust two to be of any use! (Only ones I know who have owned/do own Landies, and just realised both of them kinda "owe " me as I have helped them with jobs on theirs, before Covid.)

Really? Never knew that! thanks very much!
You mean a steam stripper I expect?
Might try the worst one, it is right in the middle of the door way between the kitchen and the lounge and we walk through there all the time. And not only is there a crack in the glaze but a tiny bit has chipped out too, so much more visible than the others.
So did you take yours out like that then? Or were you in too much of a hurry?
We haven't got enough spares to do them all but a neighbour's son is in the tile manufacture, retail etc so if anyone could match them and find old stock then he could.
So might be a project for if we ever get over there this year. As if i didn't have any other projects!;););)
