You might well end up near here as there is a massive clearance of all the pine forests! I do not know if it is because the harvest has reached maturity or if it is part of the Welsh plan to re-instate the original Welsh broad leaf trees. Log lorries are the bane of my life here as they race, usually in pairs, along totally unsuitable roads, forcing other drivers off into the hedges and ditches. Sad to say, but it gives me great pleasure when I see a log lorry on its side or down over the steep roadside.
There is much activity that I do not know if it just the logs that are being picked up and taken to the sawmill in Herefordshire, of if the 'chipping' is being done on-site in the forests. When they are working, the forest tracks are normally closed to the public.

Closest log place would be Pontrilas.(chip is collected from that site not the forest)
Yes the log lorries don’t care.
We find locals fit dash cams & stop(park) when they see them coming at them this will then show the lack of respect for the local villages.

Pontrilas is the destination for almost all of them.
Yes, that is exactly what I do. I have a Roadhawk fitted and it's been there or three or four years now but as far as stopping is concerned, that is the only way to pass but even then it is us that have to tuck into the hedge or sink into the ditch in an effort to stay alive! I hate log lorries!

I fink modern cars are so ugly - especially those labelled SUV and Cross something or other. One parked across the road today, AWFUL wheels. Suppose when a certain person "gets breakfast done" and uk can't get any cars from yurrup the only option will be the ugly crap jelly moulds from the far east.

Yerbut an awful lot of spare parts such as suspension and steering components, and service parts generally are being made in europe. Especially in Poland. So parts might become more expensive.
