Mornin all.
Busy day ahead as there is more thna we can properly do to get thew place ready for the family arriving tomoz.
Still my bubble wrap windy-uppy thing works a treat, just gotta make a frame or maybe not. using two trestles and some clamps works really well and I can move the clamps around to facilitate other operations like washing the fing down, as it now gathers most of the muck and rubble that normally gets into the pool.
Still can't decide if it has algae or not, if it does they are white and very not much of them.
I've got a gallon of the algae killer stuff (at €25, ouch!) so I may well just chuck it in.

Not much sleep last night god knows why
Out on bike for a couple of hours last night so maybe thats it

Just come in after two hours battling the hanging gardens of Babylon/brambles.

Not a good idea to try it in shorts and with a shortsleeved shirt on. I barrow full and tons more on the slabs, tis at the sitting end of the swimming pool.
so having a cooling drink before changing into more suitable clothes, tightening up the blades on my favourite secateurs and heading back out to barrow it all away. Thence to weed around the pool.

JEEZ I hate gardening.:mad::mad:
 
.... that I am getting tired of being pestered by my energy company (Shell Energy) about an exciting opportunity to have a "smart meter" installed. They keep calling and I keep saying no thank you and please don't call again on this topic but they just don't listen. :mad: :mad::mad:
Every few weeks they call up and go through the same spiel and we have the same conversation.
There is no legal reason why I "MUST" have a smart-meter, it is just their preference. It isn't mine. There are far too many stories of "smart" meters giving "dumb" readings and people having ridiculous bills as a result.

Surely it can't be a long conversation now? You've had enough practice to be able to go "Are you going to talk to me about a Smart meter? If so 'Im hanging up now. If it's anything else you have 1 second to tell me!";)

They call from a variety of numbers and do not announce who they are or their reason for calling until they have already wasted my time.

I get what you mean, when I get this sort of call from someone I don't know my first question always is "Who are you representing?" or words to that effect. That has so far had the desired effect. Followed up by ""What do you want?" if it is a company I do sometimes deal with. It may sound a bit rude but peeps I want to talk to always seem to understand!

But Octopus only contact me by email. As do BT, Orange, Sosh etc. So almost all phone calls from non-freinds and relations are from peeps trying to scam or make me offers I want to refuse!!
