Cool, a noo trailer :D:D
The cunt has emailed me. "Not in stock, will have one Friday and it's £3200" So it's gone up £200.
Don't like this.:mad::mad::mad:
There is another bloke flogging them at that price too. So I've told the fecker to tell me all the details of this one as there are others at exactly the same price so it'll be down to the level of kit that comes with it.
Now you know why I hardly ever buy anything off fecking ebay.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Never even thought of looking for the cost.
Just back tracking through the series as they do a defender….
I've seen a few progs where they "electrify " them they are ALL feckin expensive.
A Bloke in one of my kit car clubs electrified his Marlin. Long very interesting article, went into it in depth.
Still feckin expensive.:(

Nice ride out around North Wales, couldn't move my fingers when l got home, frozen stiff, stopping for a brew was a bad idea as well, flat out on M56 towards home busting for a p!ss

that's how i got stopped in my kit car once after a club pub meeting. Narrowly avoided getting the blow in the bag.
The plod saw me and W plus dogs in the car so realised i wasn't a boy racer. He accepted i was dying for a burst, once he saw my clean licence he changed his mind and just gave me a warning saying, "That's a nice piece of car you've got there!"
Decent bloke!;):):):)

Having gone off the idea of buying a trailer of some bloke on ebay with no guarantee etc, have trawled through the main makers.
Lots of similarities but some differences.
Basically want one that will take a 13 foot car and maybe a bit more.
Prices are between £2993 +VAT (Ifor-williams) and £4169 +VAT Brian James.
Woodford and Bateson fall between the two and I have yet to hear back from Hazlewood.
They'll all cost more than the value of the car sitting on it!
All good fun!
so if anyone has any experience of any of these types please let me know. i only really know Ifor-Williams as me ex-sil uses them all the time and they seem pretty bullet proof, so I was surprised they came in so cheap, mind you it is pretty basic!
Weather keeps p!ssing me off today.
Still have to rewire the trailer socket, each time I go out to do it it starts drizzling.:mad::mad:
Anyway, enjoy yer Satdi nights folks!:):):)

Drive it onto the ferry then park it up near the ferry port in frog land. Go back for the disco and travel all the way to chateau stanley. Then go and get the pluriel and drive it to the chateau. And leave it there. No need to spend all those wine vouchers on a trailer.

..that you could not make it up. :(
All that work I put in to revamping #2 son's house and then the garden and he announces today that the 3year marriage isn't working and they are divorcing.:oops:
This is the 2nd time he has been royally phucked over and taken to the cleaners. He is a lovely, gentle kindly man without a nasty bone in his body and he gets the $hitty end of the stick every time. :(:(
Moreover, I find that I am now £20k down on "family loans" that are never, ever going to get repaid.:mad:

Go back for the disco (another return ferry fee for me, and it takes at least a day Portsmuff -Caen) and travel all the way to chateau stanley. (Actually she could drive it to the ferry so both cars could end up in Caen.)Then go and get the pluriel (plane or train? Don't know of an airport nearby and the train would mean into Paris then out again) and drive it to the chateau. And leave it there. No need to spend all those wine vouchers on a trailer.
BONKERS!!!!! But I like it!
But yes I do get it that some don't understand us.
Point is here are the reasons in favour.
W won't drive off the road in her sleep as she did once, and by a miracle, both her and car survived. she really can't drive long distances any more but she does like to be able to go where she wants when she wants just as she does here.
We can fill her car to the roof with junk.
Fuel and Autoroute costs will be much reduced.
Bizarrely it will also be cheaper on the ferry, and all this is in BOTH directions.
Downside is I won't be able to play my music, even at low volume, instead I will have to listen to a talking book or two.
What might make sense would be to hire a trailer in Frogland as W can be trusted to drive to Portmuff OK, but then we'd have to find a trailer hire company that doesn't mind you leaving it 550 miles away.

Can't "like" this.:(:(:(
what a **** situation this is for all of you.
Just one minor point, if he has outstanding loans, eg like the one to you, then his ex will not be able to walk off with the money that is owed to you, or even half of it especially if she benefitted from it. Just make sure the loan is on paper before she legs it. ;)

Main difference in trailers are where are the wheels?
Ifor williams normally unde the trailer
Car trailer / Bateson have the wheels on the outside so trailer sits lower to the floor.

brian James used to get to 80moh loaded and still be steady

I can highly recommend this company for well made trailers, my small one was excellent and they are a very popular maker here in Wales.:)

Yer fer getting the written agreement yer both signed some time ago saying the money was a loan and to be repaid back. The money should come out the sale of the house, before the sale money is split. It was a loan to yer son, for the two of them, to benefit from and pay back. Yer son signed and dated it at the time. Just make sure the date yer put onnit is before the money was handed over.
