Just checked up and found out that the leaking seal on the end of the axle is likely to be the O ring that i put on along with the new hub that I changed a few years back when a certain garage told me, wrongly, that the problem with my ABS came from that hub!
The hub i got from the suppliers turned out to be a front hub, so I told them about it and they sent me said O ring so i could use the front hub on the rear! (with hindsight I should have demanded a new rear hub)
And that is what I did.
It has been no trouble since.........until, now.
Of course the old hub that i replaced, when I didn't need to, has sat in my trailer in the UK ever since, as it was easier to replace the actual faulty hub on the other end of the axle.
So i am mightily fecked off that it is a newish part that has gone fubar! And although it's a piece of pistachio to change, I'd rather not be having to do it so soon. AND I have to source the stupid O ring.
