I think the Tories dream is to raise it until it matches life expectancy. :(:(:(:(

We dont really care if they keep upping it to be honest. But it will affect alot of folks that could do with it:(

I always believed look after yourself and the 1s you love, dont rely on Gov to provide a nice life.

Still be nice to get some back though;).

Weather here:
Rain first, afore we got up, then dry but very humid, rain predicted for the end of the day and all tomoz.:(:(:(
Took Doggy to vet, she had a really good feel around, couldn't be sure what it was, tried to take a sample, no liquid at all, just a tiny speck of fat.
She thinks it's either a fatty deposit, which is a bit weird or a tiny hernia, that she cannot feel the hole of, but which has been letting fat through.
So nowt to worry about really, just keep an eye on it.
So "Phew".
Wifey zoomed her friends in her quilting circle this a.m. while I went down the toon and paid the watter bill, no Huissier fee as they blamed them for not knowing what address to send it to.;);)
Just managed to get to the dump before it closed for lunch.:D:D:D

But..... car is making a very low thrum....thrum....thrum noise. dunno what it is but wonderin if it could be a U/J starting to go, also brakes screeching despite there being a fair bit on the pads , the fronts having been renewed this year and having done nearly no miles on it since. also once I get to the bottom of the mountain there is a strong smell of hot brake pad material i.e. as if I was slipping the clutch even though it is auto.
But I was going fast and we drop 360 metres in 5 to 10 minutes, round a lot of hairpins etc.
Went round the wheels to see if I could locate the smell and some heat, once got out of the vets, nothing obvious.
So will have to "get out and get under".:mad:
Typically this happens the first time we come over with just the one vehicle.
Anyway, Nice to hear so many peeps are joining the retiree club. :):):):)
I really must start up that retiree club!:D:D:D:D
SAGA, look out!;)

I would agree with that, at least to some extent but when you start paying in with the agreement they will start paying out once you hit 65, and now they are raising it well above that, then it is a fiddle, it means they get more of your money and you get less back.
It's a simple contract that they have broken and are continuing to break, which just isn't fair, at the very least. It's not as if you can opt out or anything.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
We feel sorry for our daughters who started working in about 1988, and who will not be able to claim their State pension till 68 or beyond. They didn't sign up for that.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Glad that turned out okay:)

Our boy had a fatty lump, it got big enough that it started hanging so we had it removed in the end. took a quite a few years to get to that point if I remember. He was fine after, not that it bothered him in the first place:)

if you've got a brake sticking on then it will eventually start making a thrum thrum noise.
as will a tyre if its on its way out
I did wonder about that, i said to Wifey, "It could be a sticky piston", if that is all it is a big sigh of relief will go up.
The tyres are all pretty new, so fingers crossed.
Ta mate!:):):):)

Re your tyre, if you haven't got it fixed yet, have you tried putting a ratchet strap round the circumference and tightening it down a bit then blowing the air into it?
Just a thort!;)
But exercise due care and attention.
Also bouncing the tyre/wheel up and down, with the wheel vertical, while moving it round its circumference, while inflating it?
Expect you'll have done all these things.;)

tried bouncing.. hitting.. praying.. even considered tempting it by putting my finger in the gap.. but thought better of it
strap idea is good when you can't start the seal to inflate.. in this case i think would just fold the tyre over even more :(
