I agree but you have to take into account that this was done in a bit of a rush so that my husband could have the enjoyable, comfortable holiday he craved. I believe he knew it was very close to the end although quite as close as it turned out to be, I think not.

Liking only out of sympathy. I always show the Mrs these posts to show how you never know when your time is over so you act when something comes along. We send our virtual hugs as ever!

@Stanleysteamer we have just looked at a property on Zoopla just north of Stoke on Trent. Bungalow for £175k with drive and garage. I think we may take a wander up that way next week as it has potential

Arrived home to find the Mrs had removed the “hidden” chocolate bars out the fridge.
Now they have melted.

on the plus side they are still in the wrappers so back In the fridge

Good on ya

...I have had a pretty good/busy day.
I helped my son out and we set out some pegs for his patio foundation.
This effort determined that he needed to take a bit more earth out of the base.
Then I spent a few hours power-washing all 10 scaffold boards.
I then sanded a few and put some on the wall.
Had a lovely home made "Italian Sausage/Peppers & onion" pizza for my dinner.
Watched some TV with the Missus and will be toddling off to my bed soonish.

Evening all was quick day nice n warm, got some cedar cladding on & the windows n doors levelled...

It has rained overnight but now the sun is out which is better than we had been forecast. The warmth and dampness has given my salad seedlings the heart to germinate very quickly!
Housework is on the agenda for today for me . I hope your plans are more exciting than mine.

No clouds and plenty of sunshiny today. All I've got planned is a tip trip to dispose of the hedge trimmings.

A Coffee & some B & E for fuel first though.

Just waiting to here from my mate, wondering if he will pull a sicky today after his jab
yestermorning. If not ive got plenty other things to.
Dump run, pick up the digger & start on my garage site, shopping for food (cant avoid)
Bit of a wall to build, electrics on my latest edition. If the misses finds out im off today
I'll be hit with other jobs.

Pigeon flew into the warehouse on Tuesday. Spent the week flapping and crapping all over the place and refused to leave, they wouldn't let me shoot it. So, Friday night, they shut the kitchen door, the office door, the toilet door and went home. They didn't close the door to reception..
Luckily the poor thing was so thirsty and hungry it could hardly move so I was able to simply pick it up and ring it's bloody neck put it outdoors with a drink and a sammij I found in the fridge. Hope the silly bugger makes it..
