Ha ha! A couple of drawbacks to that plan - it won't move anywhere! And the dealer has recently moved into their beautiful new state-of-the-art newly built premise which has several different entrances! What makes you think they have had something similar tried at their old site!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think how many irate customers there will be who are there to collect the new van.

Having a loud arguement with them won't help yer situation. It will damage yer case as it makes yer difficult to deal with and they will be reluctant to help.

Is the wheel stuck under normal towing forwards/backwards or only when the mover is being used?

Are they saying its the caravan at fault or the mover?

If you think about then that is the same meaning - the lady is made to look posh when she is anything but. The fur is for show!

Thanks for the tempting offer but I think they have guarded against that by the way they have designed the layout. It's hard to explain but it is certainly well thought out to ensure access to all areas in spite of blockages! :D

Hard to explain but the van has been brought right up to the top of the drive facing forwards into garden trelliswork with only a couple of feet between it and that. When the mystery man came he retracted all the jacks and steadies (they're hydrolic(?) ) and then tried to run the mover WITHOUT engaging the wheels to see what I had told him we had observed in videos. Then he engaged the mover on all wheels and put them into reverse as he had no forward space. It did note the dragging to one side as I had said we had observed. He only reversed a couple of feet and then tried to go forward again. At this point he observed that the rear offside wheel was locked and this was causing the drag to one side. He showed it to me and yes, the wheel was locked. What I don't understand is why the wheel was now locked as it certainly wasn't when we had to push it the last few yards to get it in initially. There is certainly no way we could have pushed 2 tons up a slight incline with one of the wheels locked on! The three were me, a passing neighbour in his early 70's and my gardener who is around the 50'ish. mark.
I do not recall him saying actually what the fault was with but he did say he would need to come back 'with the van, all the tools and jacks'.
It has to be said that I had just driven the caravan back from my little holiday, pulled into the drive entrance, stopped and unhitched the car then engaged the mover to get the van on up the drive. It went for about 10/15 yards with no hesitation until suddenly the rear mover began to not do its job - it only engaged the mover on the rear nearside wheel. Our little video clearly showed what my gardener (he is a qualified mechanical engineer) explained that three of the motors on the mover were doing a 'soft' start but the fourth one one was just whizzing into action immediately.

Thanks for your interest. I am now commanded by the canines to get out of my pit and get up!!!! Will be back later.

That is such a good idea BUT the van is not going to move anywhere until the problem is sorted. :( I'm not asking them to do any servicing warranty work etc. I'm simply asking for the system or wheels or whatever to be freed or repaired etc. so that I can move the van.

It was this lady who sent me on the wild goose chase to a manufacturer which bore no connection to the mover I had! Basically I was just being 'kept quiet' by making me feel something was being done. Having wasted their time and mine and got nowhere I rang the dealer and blasted off. It hasn't done me any good but I doubt they will try that wheeze on anyone else in a hurry.

In your position I would write and/or email them stating the problem and giving them a week to sort it out, and that if this does not happen you will be taking the legal route.
This is the normal way of doing this sort of thing.
They cannot simply say they are not refusing, because they are continuously avoiding doing anything on it. Promises mean nothing especially if they are not kept.
If they write anything to you "Without prejudice", tell them that if they are not prepared to communicate properly with you you will ignore it.
I have had this happen before, it is just another way of trying to persuade you to basically allow them to muck you around still further. They need to know that all communications will be put into the dossier that will be brought to court should it be necessary.
It is obvious they cannot fix the problem easily and cheaply so they are fobbing you off to enable them to work on other more lucrative stuff.
Their problem, not yours.
I really do feel for you. No one likes to have to behave in this manner cos it seems kind of unreasonable. But it isn't they are being totally unreasonable and hopefully a good legal kick up the butt might get them moving.
Many young people and not so young, would say "See if they have a Facebook page and p!ss all over them on that" but you said that their profile as regards repairs was already bad, so it may not make any difference.
I don't know if I could be bothered to do that.

Middle dottir still got long Covid, her company is trying to get rid of her but her sis will be representing her at the Tribunal where she will wipe the floor with them.
Wifey is fine, I'm laid up with a swollen left calf suspected DVT for which I have just had to have a Covid test and a few mins ago a blood test , D-dimer for a blood clot.https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/d-d...-dimer test is,someone might have blood clots.
But apart from that I'm firing on all 12 cylinders!

Just seen a squiggel crossing me garding. Never seen one here before, must be expanding their local range. Think he was heading in the wrong direction, away from the trees :rolleyes:. Not unusual to see hares and roe deer in the fields within view, also seen a hare and a badger in me garding before today, and bats in the evening. But squiggles are rare visitors here. Also seeing more meeces than usual this spring, thriving on the windfall under the bird feeders.
