Just applied for my State Pension, due to start in Feb 21.
They asked me if I had ever lived abroad, dates.
Done.
Then which dates I worked over there.
Done, the same dates
Then they asked me for a reference number to do with it from the French authorities, twas 8 months as a language assistant in 1978-9 FFS. So typed into the box "don't know".
Which it accepted surprisingly.
Also wanted wifey's details. o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O
Anyway, we'll see.

Mind you a wise French friend tells me I should apply for my French pension owed to me for this.
Should be all of two bob a week!

I remember bob a job week lol

...that a browser and access to e-zon & Ama-bay are too much of a temptation ;);).
Today more tool-stuff arrived a lovely (£14.99) Bahco wrecking knife and very cheap (£19.99) chest full of Chinesium split-point drill-bits.View attachment 224999

I tried a load of them drills, use once & throw away total w@nk for what I need, I need to buy another
better set as my heavy handed mate ruined a 80 quid set  :(

Hmmmm...... well these were very cheap, so I am NOT expecting too much TBH, but there's enough to see me drill a few of my tap-drill and the like holes I hope.
I'm just a hobbyist so I can take my time and feed them slow and at the proper speed and not try to flog them to death at the wrong speed and wrong feed-rate. :)
