i want to fit a 2.5 d N/A in a series 1 88 inch

I'm looking at fitting a 2.5d N/a land rover engine in to my 88 inch series 1 has anyone done that on here and if so what do i need to know / do ?
do i need a convertion plate for the gear box ?

Hi to fit the engine to your S1 gearbox you will need either a series 2 Bellhousing or simply fit a complete series 2a gearbox, this will retain you oringinal clutch pedal.

hi just about to try and put 200td in to series 1 useing s3 g box will keep all posted
