I Sold My L322 a Year Ago! Now I want another!

Hi Guys,

I sold my L322 2002 petrol 4.4 V8 last year for deposit money, I'm thinking of buying another. What's everyone's opinion, should I buy Diesel or Petrol this time round? I've been through the ups and downs with having to buy new gearbox's and replacing all manner of parts on my last purchase, I still want one!!!!

Nothing else will do, I guess it must be love...:crazy:

What's your budget ?

I'd opt for at least a 2006 onwards TDV8

Post 2006 TDV8 is the budget allows...if not, get the best you can muster mister...

pre 2006 the Diesel engine is great, just mated to a ****e box.

The BMW V8's are great if you can suffer the MPG or get one on gas.

I happened to purchase a BMW V8 a few months ago.

From this experience I would def' say this version. I like the sound and power. I get around 22 overall, but this one doesn't do many miles so ok that it is not on Gas.
apparently the TDV8 D, you need to be very careful regarding the turbos and also if the engine has ever overheated it will never be the same again.
Lastly, check for injector leaks. Just heard of someone being quoted £6k for injector and seal replacement....they have given it to a back lane garage to get the work done for £2.5k...Lots of labour so I hear.
