Just had 2 new tyres (for the MOT), which went onto the rear axle, as recommended.

I want to replace the front tyres after next payday. (Month away)

By that time I will have covered about 500-600 miles on the 'january fitted' new tyres.

Should I still put the 'coming soon' tyres on the rear again anyway, or will they be okay on the front?

I will have only covered the 600 odd miles on tarmac roads...

Thanks in anticipation. Mike

I wouldn't have thought 5/600 miles would make any difference to tyre diameter, and if it had, I'd be taking em back. Just shove em on the front. :D

Thanks Guys, just had three* fitted for the MOT - funds wouldn't run to all five in one go, so next payday, the garage are going to do the remaining two.

* one pair on the rear and a replacement spare - which had a damaged sidewall on the inside of the tyre!
