I will repeat as I did in one thread I phoned LR and they said under no circumstances, run the td4 on cooking oil or I would have done it 10 years ago.

That solves that one then.
No chip oil for me then! And I had this great idea of offering to 'dispose' of all the chip shop & Chinese take-away shop used cooking oil.

I did run my Maverick on a 50/50 mix for some time. It ran fine with it's standard Bosch E fuel pump.

I read a post recently that said the early Td4 didn't have a second fuel pump in the rear wheel arch. Mine is a 2001, does that mean I don't have the pesky second fuel pump?

You will have the 2nd one in the engine bay under the fuse box like mine........But I cant imagine greasy chip oil going through the injectors....Thats just asking for trouble..

have you seen what it does to sewers?

Grim that, although that is more likely animal fats. The only type of veg oil that should be used would be liquid at all temps. Any fats that solidity would block everything!!

It is correct - well the heavy oil bit is... The seats ain't.

Just write 5 in the number of seats bit sign it and then send the v5c off to dvla.

Simples.
