I may be going nuts

I would like some opinions as I think I may be going totally mad. The last few days I have been looking at the bowler wheels and thinking they look dam good and have now started thinking if they would look good on my series 3 88 station wagon. I would like to get some modern wheels for it so I can put modern tyres on it and was thinking about wolf wheels. Because they would slightly increase the track width and make it more stable. I know I would have to fit the extra long wheel studs but that is not an issue. Can some one please talk some sense into me. Oh wait I bought a Land Rover that maybe impossible.

They are the 16" ones as 18" would look silly on a series and personally think any 18" wheel looks silly on a defender. But here's the link

Very much the way I feel about it but I do like the look of them

Wolf wheels look quite nice on a series or these are similar but I'm guessing a cheaper alternative alloy

What size 'modern' tyres are you looking at fitting? Tubeless steel rims would let you fit 235's with no problems

Yes was thinking 235's as they are the closest equivalent to 7.50 I have at the minuet.

You've got a choice of normal tubeless steel rims, Wolf rims that look good on a series or alloys which personally don't. But it's your motor so your choice

Wolfs was the original choice and probably the one I will go with. Though the mind likes to get ideas to big for its boots occasionally.
