Hello Folks,
Thought I'd get off my arse at last and sign up - having previously owned several S3's and a Disco, currently own a S3 109, 45 years old and been in my garage in bits for the last 3 years, soon to be resurrected !!. I live in Hungary and W Africa, spending around 6 months of the year in each place ......

Oh nice, better get your skates on and get it rebuilt, are you going to be using it to commute between Hungary and W/Africa? Would be an expedition every time you go to work.

Almost there now, yes it would be nice to travel to W Africa (Cameroon) in it, maybe one day ....... at the moment, Brussels Airlines is quicker, 6 hours ...... lots of S3's and early Defenders lying about in Cameroon in various states of repair - they prefer Toyota Land Cruisers now .... not far from my house in Cameroon, there's a yard with about 20 quite recent twin-cab Defenders, just sitting there and rotting, all belonging to the World Wildlife Fund - apparently you need to travel in relative comfort, with A/C, radio and electric windows if you're saving the monkeys, so they replaced the Defenders with new Land Cruisers - wonder who paid for them ? ......
