Its been a while since I changed rear shock absorbers on a vehicle, last one was a Mitsu Pajero. I remember that the bottom shock mount bolts sheared off both sides and it cost me a fortune to replace them.
Not with a Land Rover, surely?
Wrong! but this time its the top mounting bolt, Almost had it undone, but it sheared off so I assume the other side will do the same.
Anyway, I had to bite the bullet and ordered a new pair from Land Rover. £80
and thats with 10% discount.
The brackets cost more than the shocks!
So, the cars off the road till tomorrow. I guess I will have to borrow my Mother in Laws new Discovery 4 to go to work in. Bummer
