Just done a 620 mile round trip in my P38 with a dodgy gearbox, no problem. 26mpg including a Parisien traffic jam, 29mpg on the return with no traffic. Great!

That's the ticket. Since I fitted my power box to my 2.5dse I get 25mpg around town and 32mpg on a run.

I paid 1.26 south of Paris on a National, 1.209 here, both in supermarkets
Up to 1.46 on the autoroutes. Varies daily but anything under 1.30 is good at the moment

If those figures are off the display, dream
With a power box fitted the display is 2 to 4mpg optimistic as it is not aware of the extra fuel being shoved in by the power box. My figures are brim to brim and with the power box removed.

I think a lot depends on you're driving style too. It's not a car to be thrashed anyway. I've looked at LPG comparisons, the lot. If you're worried about mpg it's best not to have a RR in the first place!

Caw blimey oh riley - down here in the south we're still at 1.36 for diesel and 1.45
for petrol (that's at the supermarket garages), add another 10 cents at least on the motorway - RIP OFF !!!!!!!!!! Bloody France !old traveller

Mines running sweet, been a gem lately. Until I changed the gearbox oil and two tiny needle rollers came out with it...........................Did Moskvitch have anything to do with P38 design?
