I had to let it go I am afraid.

hi guys,

I had to get rid of my range rover only couple of weeks, mechanically it was fine but everything else turned to ****.
I had central locking fail, switches fail, temp gauge fail and passenger window come off it's runner.
I am far from impressed by the quality that these things are made, I have never come across any motor that's as fragile as this, my old 96 disco v8 seemed superior to my range rover vogue in quality.
I would buy a disco again but not a pre 2002 rangie.

I am sure plenty of ppl will disagree but I reckon they are more hassle than they worth.

funny that, i hated disco's(v8 + tdi's)but i love my rangie, had it since sept 08, yes had to change the starter(brand new on ebay for £70 delivered) but hay, it's 11 years old and 160k.

Maybe so mate but there is no denying that the classic range rovers are made of some of the worst quality materials possible to put in a motor.
They might be great mechanically ( which mine was ) but everything else is of pretty low standard other than the fantastic leather seats mine had.

Maybe I am being too critical for a 20 year old 4x4 but I was unimpressed with my short stint as a rangie owner.

I would however love a current range rover vogue or sport hehe!
