as almost member know before i faced problem in timing belt but my mechanic solve this , but now after fixed mechanic part and electric part for car we found problems when engine running :
1- engine make sound like Explosion ( as showing in attached video )


2- rear manifold after engine coming glow and feeling there is fire inside ( showing in attached photo )

after make ECU checking , it showing faults
**P0131- powertrain
O2 sensor heater circuit low voltage ( bank 1 sensor 1 )

**P0141-powertrain
O2 sensor heater circuit ( bank 1 sensor 2 )

**P0108-powertrain
mainfold absolute pressure/barometric pressure circuit high input

in RAVE i found Fault Description but can not repair
0131---> LH bank front HO2S ---> signal Short circuit to earth
0141 ---> LH bank rear HO2S heater circuit ---> Open circuit or short circuit to battery or earth
0108 ---> ECM internal ambient pressure sensor ---> Open circuit or short circuit to battery


really i do my best but i feeling defeat

That is one very sick sounding freelander.

Compression test. Will take an hour of your time and tell what condition the inside of the engine is in.
Make sure all six cylinders have good compression.
If 1 of the cylinders is low compression, you have a bent valve - your mechanic has wrecked your engine.
If ALL cylinders have low compression the timing is really badly off - or if one bank has low compression (1,3,5) one of the cams is out.

If compression is good, your timing is probably still bad - that's making the classic one tooth out on the belt kind of noise.

If you're getting a glow in the exhaust, unburned fuel is getting in - either due to a lack of compression, ignition or the mixture is just wrong.


HOWEVER, it looks like you're missing the mixture information on one bank - the left bank can't figure out it's mixture if the O2 sensor isn't working.

Start with the compression test, then double check your timing is still good.
 
Your mechanic made a mess of it first time, how do you know he has got it right this time?
Did he follow Nodge's instructions?
Was the engine turned 2 revolutions by hand to make sure nothing bashed into anything else before running it?

I am with you because he made problem before, but I give him instructions from RAVE and he followed it,
in your experience there is any hope to repair this problem
 
Your mechanic cocked up. Valve timing is out by the sounds of it. Don't run it again until it's sorted.
Sounds like the valve timing is out to me too.
The KV6 is an engine that requires a degree of understanding or it'll bite you.
You best bet is to get the timing tools because they bypast the lack of understanding.
I suspect that valve damage has occurred too.

after searching i agree 100% with you valve bend

I have bad news
my engine breakdown
I must change all valves, changes upper gasket

but I surprise when I know Freelander engine kv6 it same engine for kia carnival 2005
 
in our country difficult to found rover car, and what if I make new gasket and valves like overhaul,what you think?

The engine isn't any different to any other engine, except the crankshaft MUST NO be turned with the heads removed. It the crank is turned, the liners lift and then a complete strip down and rebuild is needed.
Oh and get the cam timing tools for safety;)
