we got a 50" with a HTPC
When I got mine HTPC were stupidly expensive and low spec- you got robbed for the case.
Mines amd dual core 5000+ ,2 gb ram,256mb hd graphics card and 320 hd slim desktop. duel boots vista/ubuntu.
Digital audio out and runs quite happily on linux, to be honnest the keyboard was the hardest to find living room suitable (6 x4 inch with mouse pad)

yea, there not the cheapest thats why i built my own.
bought the HTPC case and then the mobo etc..
worked out just under £200 which is not bad - plays back 1080p movies off my server over the gigabit lan

When I was looking you got robbed £100 for a case
I've gigabit lan too- we regularly have youtube on and I have 100gb month fair use and static ip

HaHa that's not even close to robbery, my case cost 416 squids....
I'm just looking at my 50 inch Kuro thinking I really need another 15 inches, but it's not really a good time to get a new TV.....

Originally he had the top of the range card at the time, the GTX 295, (around £400 at the time) but last week we put in one of these;
