discovery 2 steering circle not so good
We have a discovery 4 2010

And we have a discvery 2 2003 recently purchased and have driven and turning circle is somewhat not so good can any one give a bit of advice please has anyone noticed this b4 or had this problem

are you sure its not jus cos your a girl?



discos are big lumps and i have no idea about the d4 but a d2 can somtimes be a squeeze in multi storeys but coming out of junctions is another matter.

do the tyres rub on full lock? if not your lock stops may be over adjusted

does it have standard tyres on? larger tyres wont turn as far without rubbing

lots of different causes but you havent given much information

no not an average girlie i love my cars and am very passionate about them a good driver too i help hubby out with any repairs dont mind getting hands dirty so dont mark us all with pink mini's and all sweetie

your still not helping though are you? you have been asked questions on all your threads and not answered other than saying it doesnt turn sharply.

for all we know it could be standard and something you need to get used to, if you are getting no noises, its not rubbing then i would check the lock stops.

jack the front wheels up and turn them from lock to lock if they are well away from catching there is a bolt around the swivel area on each side that will allow you to tighten or widen the turning circle.

if you use the search function at the top im pretty sure lock stop adjustment has been covered

Repairs on those two? hmm that's not so good is it.

measure the turning circle and come back with some info;)
 
disco 2 has no unusual noises tyres are standard michelin's no rubbing of tyres nothing unusual just dont get it uuuurrrrrrr as i said help me and hubby will look at lock stop adjuster when we get it up on ramp tomoz/prob weekend mind you realistic we had a 51 reg disco 2 over 5 years ago and for The life of me do not remember turning circle being like this but memories do fade and just kicking myself coz i just do not know

on old disco 2 we had we had a whining noise on full lock which was steering pump replaced and was fine but mind is boggled on this one not knowing this time is driving me insane aarrrrggghhhh

we had one 5 years ago but just can not remember arrrrggghhhh except for whining on full lock back them **** happens i suppose!!!! me and hubby wil investigate lock stop adj first and will post report on what we find. thought someone might just say yyyeeess i know exactly what that is lol sorry
