sorry its not a landy Q but im sure someone on here must know (Ratty?)

need to change the fuel filter on me Hyundai Accident (1.5 petrol 52 plate) but cant find where the filter is:confused: followed the fuel feed under the car from the tank to the fuel rail but deffo no filter there. there's a plate under the back seats that looks like its the fuel pump access plate - would it be under there? the plate is held on with sikaflex so i dont wanna pull it off for no reason.

cheers fella's

is it not on top of the tank on the leading edge? not worked on a hyundai for years so i can't remember off the top of my head

its not visible from underneath the car, had a good look around the tank and followed the fuel line and nothing. thought it mighta been similar to VX - in the fuel line bolted to the chassis rail, but of course its jap so it aint that simple:(

have a look on here fella.

il have a look, cheers for the link mate:D

just had a look at that Hyundai website and got a link to the service tech guide from the states. looks like 2003 onwards the filter is part of the fuel pump assembaly and as you say should last the life of the vehicle or rarely need servicing.

the pre 2003 cars look to have the filter seperate but mounted right next to the fuel pump, accessable through the panel under the back seats so im guessing thats where mine would be.

Sikaflex at the ready sometime this week then

Its located under the rear seat, under an inspection hatch. Remove the seat by pushing in the two plastic tabs in the front of the seat. The access hatch is sealed with a black silicon type sealer. The Filter is held in place with a clip and the inlet and outlett have buttons that when depressed allows you to remove the line. Watch out when unclipping the pipes cos it'll all spill in yer car if you aint carefull.
