I want to run my Discovery on HHO, I bought a small Hydroxy kit from eBay to see how it works but I would ideally like to run it on as much gas as possible, say, 70% HHO and 30% diesel.
The questions it, how big of a generator/reactor do I need? There is a few that do a litre per minute but I don't know how to work out what the Discovery consumes.
How do I work out what a 1995 Discovery 300 Tdi will need to intake at 80MPH?

tiz easy ----

wots your fool cosumption at 80MPH? - about 10MPG? - thats about 8G/H or 40Litres/Hour - so you need a litre every 1.5 minutes.

vary figures accordingly - and good luck :D

oh dear yer shouldn't have bought that as am working on a fuel that is easier to make and will power yer disco at what ever speed yer like fer as long as yer like.

hang on a couple of weeks and I should be in a position to post a informercial on youtube describing how it works and no need for a reactor/compressor all yer need is a bucket and the chemical ingredients.
which are nearly perfected but now quite, as i said I've nearly got the mix right am just trying a few alternative ingredients to ensure I have the best possible mix.
so far its the fuel consumption is crap but as its so cheap and the chemicals are freely available, cost doesn't even come into it.

I get about 10MPG from me jag and as the cost involved are pennies you do get a shed load more miles per quid

I am running on a high proportion of HHO (without even realising it) and here's a pic of the tank-filling up process actually in progress.

I think i'm running better for it.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D FFS do a search to find out what a daft git yer sound like:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

There is quite a lot of info on this - first up you will need to completely change the engine to make HHO work, a lot of research was done into this by the late cornishman Robert Trevithick (google him) but that should give you a starting point as to how to run on HHO (or H2O as some modern new fangled revolutionaries like to refer to it!)
Good luck to yer.

Will you be supplying the info at a cost? and what is the cost??

Nah. but I can pass water all on me own wivout the need to stick it in a jam jar wedged in my engine bay. Did you notice the queue at the outside taps of the petrol stations when the fuel crisis was on? No? Thats cos thems that knows was putting petrol or diesel in their cars instead.
Ooo get you lol.
It's getting ridiculous though here because the local stations had run out of diesel and getting biodiesel was getting difficult too so I'm looking for alternative means.
Beats running on used engine oil or red diesel like some of the Land Rover owners I've heared of..

seriously. you have just been conned. If you are running a diesel, get yerself down the cash and carry and fill up with new vege oil at the cost of 85ppl. It is legal.

I thought it wasn't unless you declare it and pay duty to use it on the road.
I heared that you could only use veggie oil that had been used which means you have to filter it yourself etc?
