Hybrid Tv module

Hi, I have a 2005 RR Vogue which has the analogue tv tuner.
I've been offered a hybrid tv tuner for a really good price.

Will it work and a straight swap or leave it alone

Guy wants nearly £800 for that kit. I have the touch screen monitor up front.
I can get the hybrid tuner for less than a third of that

it wont work mate,you maybe will get one channel if your lucky.

you will need a box with the number starting AH42-19C063 to work in the uk

The unit you've been offered wont work as it's a foreign/japanese spec unit. Check out ebay for a kosher hybrid unit, with the serial number as per Clarkie's post.
I got a tv hybrid unit off ebay for £240, it's plug and play and works just fine, AH42 19C063 AH from a 2010 RRS.

Hello my mate just got his done by a chap I recommended up in Birmingham. He did my non touch IBUS system.
My old mate has touch screen 2006 model with analogue tuner and he had the upgrade for £280 ish. Ok it's controlled by a remote like mine but they both work really well he can do tv in motion but my mate didn't trust his driving with tv on. My mate said for him it's the best way to get av input and USB onto this system.
