Mine does this too.
And my cruise control does't work, but everything else works as it should.
I'm not sure if the two are connected, but I'd love to know why it's doing it!

The Cruise Control system uses one of the brake switches (there are two iirc) and if one is shorting slightly to earth during use (causing the lamps to dim), it could be enough to prevent the CC from working properly....
Just a possibility...so who knows!

If something was shorting you would expect a blown fuse. Maybe a earthing fault is more likely.
