hi their,my p38 is making a sort of humming noise and gets louder at speed ,seems to get louder when turning right and my tyres squile when turning right slow.is this something to do with my tyres or could the noise be a wheel bearing.it only seems to be comming from the front right wheel

Humming front wheel (since March) just logged in & you may have fixed it? iff not, jack up the front (both wheels) check out the play in the wheel /hub push & pull the wheel hands on top & bottom of the tyre ie 12 o.clock & six o.clock for play, play there it may be the wheel bearing or top & bottom ball joints. Then spin each wheel with your hand on the tyre, if you feel a rumble through the tyre it's the wheel bearing knackered, as they aren't adjustable. It's not easy to change the bearing without a mig/stick welder & a press but it can be done, or shell out for a new hub assembly from RR at serious £s

hello mate you may just have 2 problems there , when you say the tyres squeal when your turning , that usual indicates the vc is buggered .
as for your wheel bearing i replaced mine last year as it was rumbling and as long as you take your time and dont rush in like a bull in a china shop theyre not bad to do , the hardest part is getting the old bearing out , once cleaned up with emery the hub will accept the new bearing quite easily .
a replacment hub from the dealers will be expensive , it may be worth your while trying people like island 4x4 , or paddock spares , and the like ?.
when mine was buggered you couldnt feel any play whatsoever by shaking the wheel but once the hub was off if you spun the hub it felt rough as a bears arse :) .
as for your vc there a few threads on this site also check this site for info on both wheel bearing and your vc Range Rovers i hope this is some help to you.
rick.
