All done, stopped at a local place and they spun it off and torqued it to 140 to get me the short roll home. guy wouldnt take any money so i gave them a tenner for their tea fund.
got home had dinner, kissed little one good night, stripped it down in short order, hub puller on new hub in all buttoned up, took it for a spin around the block all good.
apart from the ABS sensor light going off. faultmate reads 'low output from sensor' i need to do downpipe stud on the weekend so ill pull the sensor again give it all a blast with compressed air to clear any crud out lubricate with silicone grease insert up to the ring (filth!)

FWIW.
I changed the diff input oil seals on my RRC a couple of months ago.
With the car on the ground the nuts wouldn't shift. The car would roll slightly & the play in the diff & flex in the tyre would allow some movement. Chocking the wheel didn't help. Rattle gun didn't work either.
Cut & drilled a length of angle iron & bolted that to two of the hub propshaft bolts with its other end on the ground so no play at all. Hub nuts came undone easy as.
Looking at the video of the chap the bouncing up & down is accompanied by a fair bit of movement of the wheel so I wonder if that gives a cushioning effect reducing the force applied until the movement is eliminated? I suspect the rattle gun finally used by adamwest's garage worked easily as the shock is applied with no movement of the component to cushion.
